Often, we start with an Ideation Workshop to align on goals and learning objectives with all of your stakeholders. This can be done virtually, in-person, or via a hybrid format. We take special care to ensure all voices are represented.
From there, a dedicated Project Manager and our technologists and designers will work hand-in-hand with your team to achieve those objectives, from outlining the desired approach and content, to user testing with real audiences, and refining all learning products to a polished state.

President and CEO
Nick is the founder and CEO of TechChange, where he oversees all strategy and programming for the organization. He has nearly 20 years of experience as an educator, technologist, and social entrepreneur in global development, public health, and social impact. Nick is also a faculty member at Columbia University and sits on the board of PopTech, a global network committed to the vanguard of emerging technology, science, exploration and creative expression. He can also be found on LinkedIn helping his 160K followers with opportunities, resources and tips, for their social impact job search and career development. Nick received his BA with honors from Swarthmore College and holds an MA in Peace Education from the United Nations mandated University for Peace (UPEACE).
Account Manager, Public Health
Alex Paone is a Program Manager at TechChange where he supports online course development and delivery. Alex holds a Masters of Public Health in social and behavioral sciences from the University of Cape Town, where he focused his studies on civil society and community health workers. Prior to joining TechChange, Alex worked closely with the Vaccines for Africa Initiative studying vaccine hesitancy and supplementary immunization activities. Most recently, Alex worked with the Vermont Department of Health as a COVID-19 contact tracer. Offline, Alex enjoys developing recipes and hiking through the Green Mountains.
Senior Account Manager, Public Health
Alyssa Cawley is a Public Health Account Manager at TechChange, where she collaborates with global partners to create public health focused training courses. Before joining TechChange, Alyssa worked as an emergency management specialist on the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 response. She completed her Masters of Public Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where she concentrated her studies in Humanitarian Health. Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys playing with her dog, staying active, and eating her way around the world.

Amanda is a Program Manager at TechChange based in Washington, DC. Amanda holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in International Relations from American University and has experience in international education and online learning. Most recently, Amanda worked on an online exchange program funded by the U.S. Department of State which provided virtual courses and online events for non-native English speaking teachers. Outside of work she enjoys knitting, trying local coffee shops, and taking care of her plant collection.
Senior Full-Stack Developer
Director of Public Health
Ariel Frankel is a public health professional with experience in monitoring and evaluation (M&E), formative research and design (including feminist research methods), and international program management. Prior to joining TechChange, Ariel spent some time working with community health workers in Nairobi, Kenya to pilot a mobile application designed to help women experiencing intimate partner violence create personalized safety plans. Prior to that, she worked for over 5 years conducting M&E using mixed methods to generate evidence on the effectiveness of programs for a variety of public health programs with governmental and non-governmental clients. She is passionate about the intersection of research and community mobilization, and the use of technology in catalyzing health behavior change. Ariel holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. When not in the office, Ariel can be found jamming with her band, TBD (totally badass dames), climbing, or watercoloring.
Senior Account Manager, Education
Bethany comes to us from the Institute of International Education where she scoped, designed, and implemented a number of virtual learning experiences for international audiences. Bethany is a Senior Account Manager on our Education Team. She manages large-scale, multi-faceted training programs from concept through launch.
When not at work, she can be found discovering the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe, joining her dog in daily walks in the neighborhood, or hiking around Connecticut.

Carly is an international development professional with a background in women’s empowerment and cultural exchange programming. She has supported dozens of educational experiences across six continents and worked closely on projects supporting leaders, refugees, and artists.
Carly is part of our Education Team. As an Account Associate, she plays a vital role in the smooth execution and functioning of our education programs.
Account Manager, Education
Dana started her professional career as a camp counselor and continued in the education field as a teacher before transitioning into program management and events at VIPKid. She finds joy in creating experiences and learning opportunities that are engaging and help create lifelong connections – whether that be through ‘aha’ moments or meeting new people.
Dana is a proud alum of Boston College, and recently completed her Master’s degree in International Education Management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies where she focused on designing and managing programs through a global lens.
Outside of work, if she’s not traveling to connect with family and friends, she can most likely be found in the mountains, skiing, hiking, or camping.

Hailey is an Account Manager at TechChange, where she works to create impactful and interactive health-focused training materials for eLearning partners. Before joining the TechChange team, Hailey served as a Community Health Advisor with PeaceCorps, Madagascar. While there, Hailey focused on using evidence-based research and community capacity-building tools that improved health outcomes specific to disease prevention. Outside of work, you’ll find Hailey exploring local food spots, chasing the outdoors, and planning her next adventure.
Project Assistant, Public Health
Hana is a Project Assistant at TechChange, where she supports the development and realization of impactful health-related courses and training materials. Prior to her work at TechChange, Hana worked with Partners In Health Liberia to foster community-driven solutions to gaps in healthcare. Hana holds a B.A.& Sc. from McGill University, where she studied Cognitive Science and developed her interest in ethical implications of artificial intelligence. Hana loves learning about the world around her, and outside of work can be found reading a good book, cooking a new recipe, or listening to a podcast on a long walk.

Jessica Swann is the Director of Education Partnerships at TechChange.
Prior to joining TechChange, Jessica worked in the international education sector in a variety of roles from marketing, to business development, to program management, with a particular focus on capacity building within the higher education sector across Latin America, and championing Women in STEM. She is passionate about the power education has to shape and transform the lives of individuals, communities, and wider society. Jessica holds a Bachelor’s in Architecture from the University of Nottingham. When not in the office, Jessica can be found supporting civil society projects in Mexico (where she lives), training for the next half-marathon, or walking her dogs.
Lead Developer
Josh is the Lead Developer at TechChange, where he works on the web development efforts across its tech stack. Prior to coming to TechChange, Josh attended Carnegie Mellon University, where he studied Electrical and Computer Engineering and spent a summer consulting for the Financial Intelligence Unit in Koror, Palau. When he’s not working, he enjoys running, hiking, birding, kayaking, and anything else outdoors.

Katie is Manager of Hybrid Events at TechChange where she helps bring virtual conferences to life for partners and attendees around the world. Before TechChange, Katie worked on in-person and virtual events of varying sizes. She is originally from the Richmond, Virginia area and holds a B.A. in Foreign Affairs from University of Virginia. Outside of work, you can usually find her spending time outdoors, dancing, or finding new restaurants and recipes to try.

Kristy Britt is the Chief Financial Officer at TechChange.
Kristy has 15+ years of diverse public accounting and financial leadership experience in high growth companies. Her expertise in the accounting field is backed by a Master’s Degree in Accounting and CPA designation. Kristy has a proven track record of streamlining processes, developing internal controls, professionalizing the financial function, building financial and operational models, and creating efficiencies within growth organizations. Most recently, Kristy led her former company through an acquisition and oversaw the post-acquisition integration.
Most weekends, you can find Kristy cheering on her three kids at hockey games, baseball tournaments, and gymnastics meets. She also picked up golf and loves to travel and go boating!

Lindsey Burke is the Head of People and Culture at TechChange.
Lindsey has over a decade of experience collaborating with all levels of leadership to drive successful people initiatives in dynamic and fast-paced business environments. Lindsey received her BA from Western Michigan University, obtained a certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility from the University of Colorado Boulder, and has a certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from the University of South Florida. Lindsey comes to us with global recruiting experience and has worked to build inclusive, supportive, strengths-based corporate cultures that focus on talent engagement and retention.When not at work, Lindsey loves to spend time with family and friends, play the guitar, explore Lake Michigan beaches, and garden.
Hybrid Events Manager
Marion is a Hybrid Events Manager at TechChange, where she helps the Events team to create meaningful and engaging virtual conferences for a worldwide audience. Before joining the Events team, Marion explored her own research on the importance and impact of virtual communication as a Psychology major and Communications minor at Davidson College. She has had the opportunity to present her research at multiple conferences and is very proud to now play a part in the development of new conferences with TechChange! Outside of work, you can find Marion at the dog park, in the dance studio, or finding her new favorite book.

Morgan is a learning designer and educator who is passionate about improving lives through education. With a background in K-12 education and over 6 years of experience in EdTech working with adult learners, she has created innovative learning experiences for learners across the globe.

Becky is a Senior Full Stack Developer at TechChange. She recently graduated from MIT with a B.S. and M.Eng. in Computer Science and Engineering. Her interests include civic tech and computer science education. In her free time, you can find her grabbing coffee with friends, watching movies, or exploring old bookstores.

Samantha is the Vice President of Partner Success and Delivery at TechChange. Samantha is an experienced leader of customer success, professional services, and support with a demonstrated history of hands-on leadership growing diverse global teams through structure, process, and industry KPIs.
Samantha has partnered with a broad range of foundation, government, NGO, and education customers enabling organizations to support their missions through technology. In her previous role as Vice President of Customer Success & Support, Samantha led a team of 50+ employees in supporting three product lines, increasing annual recurring revenue by 10%, satisfaction scores by 20% and doubling the upsell target.
Samantha holds an MPA from the School of International Affairs at Columbia University where she was a SIPA Fellow and a BA from Tulane University.
Vice President of Business Development
Sheerin Vesin is VP of Business Development at TechChange. Sheerin joined us from TechChange partner organization IYF, where she led product strategy and commercialization of educational technology products. Sheerin has held leadership roles in B2B marketing and sales at Rosetta Stone and SpotMe, and was a 2014 finalist for the Women in Technology Rising Star Award. Sheerin began her career as an English teacher (and part-time alpine ski coach) in France. A lifelong advocate for education, Sheerin has held volunteer leadership roles with Higher Achievement Program, and currently serves on the school council for the Lycée Rochambeau of Washington. Sheerin holds a B.A. from Cornell University and an M.A. from Middlebury College’s language schools. When not on her laptop, Sheerin can be found on the slopes, on her bike, or running after her two boys.
Chief Technology Officer
Will Chester is the Chief Technology Officer at TechChange, where he leads web development efforts across its tech stack. Will is also involved in facilitating participatory trainings and adapting technology for use in challenging situations. Prior to joining TechChange, Will worked for an NGO to increase civic engagement in Western China by promoting the use of Open Spaces technology. Will received his BA in International Relations and Chinese from Tufts University, and spent two years in Nanjing, China, teaching English and working with a Chinese NGO.
Creative Director
Yohan Perera is the Creative Director at TechChange. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Digital Arts & Design from Full Sail University, Winter Park, Florida. Born and raised in the beautiful island nation of Sri Lanka, a country that was torn by civil war for 30 long years, he received an opportunity to work as a Graphic Designer for Sri Lanka Unites, a Youth Movement for Hope and Reconciliation in 2011, where he gained his true passion to use graphic design & media for social change. He enjoys seeing the world around him through his camera and is very passionate about dark chocolate.
