Learning support for lean teams

Your organization cut its L&D staff, or never had one, but the training still has to happen. Someone has to design the course, run the sessions and keep learners moving. Bring in ours, by the course or by the year, on the same platform you already use.

Three ways to work with us

Start with one course and add more support as you need it. Every package runs on the TechChange AI Learning Platform and Kolab, so the work stays with you when we step back.

Build

We design and build the course. You run it.

What's included

  • A design workshop with your subject experts and stakeholders
  • Learning objectives and a backwards-designed course map
  • A storyboard you review before anything is built
  • Custom interactives for every module, in your brand
  • Translation into the languages your learners need
  • Accessibility and quality review, then handover training for your staff
Your team
Instructional designer, interactive developer, translation reviewer
Timeline
Typically 4 to 8 weeks per course
Priced
Fixed price per course
Good for
Rebuilding a dated course, or turning a workshop into self-paced learning

Build and run

We build it and staff the cohort.

Everything in Build, plus

  • A lead facilitator for every live session in Kolab
  • A session producer handling logistics, breakouts and tech support
  • Learner support: reminders, nudges and answers within one business day
  • Moderated discussion between sessions
  • A completion and outcomes report at the end of each cohort
Your team
Design team, plus facilitator, session producer, learner support coordinator
Timeline
Build period, then the length of your cohort
Priced
Build fee plus a per-cohort delivery fee
Good for
Grant-funded programs, fellowships and ministry trainings with a fixed delivery window

Fractional learning team

We become your L&D department.

What's included

  • A named learning lead who knows your organization and priorities
  • A monthly allocation of hours across design, facilitation, translation and reporting
  • A bench of designers and facilitators, matched to each program
  • Monthly analytics and a quarterly program review with your leadership
  • Platform administration, so your staff never manage enrollments again
  • Scale up for a busy quarter, scale down when it's quiet
Your team
Learning lead, plus designers, facilitators, translators and an MEL analyst as needed
Timeline
Annual, with a monthly hours allocation
Priced
Annual retainer, billed monthly
Good for
Organizations that lost L&D staff, or run several programs a year with a small team

The people in the loop

AI builds faster. People decide what's worth building, notice who's falling behind, and hold a room. These are the roles we bring.

Instructional designer

Turns expert knowledge into a course people finish. Sets objectives, sequences the learning and decides where practice belongs.

Interactive developer

Builds the scenarios, simulations and exercises with AI tools, then tests them with real learners.

Facilitator

Runs live sessions in Kolab that people want to attend. Experienced with ministries, multilaterals and multilingual cohorts.

Session producer

Handles the run of show, breakouts, timing and tech, so the facilitator can focus on the people.

Learner support and community manager

Answers questions, nudges people who stall, moderates discussion and keeps alumni connected.

Translation reviewer

Checks AI translations for accuracy and tone, especially for technical and health content.

MEL analyst

Sets indicators, builds the dashboard and writes the report your funder actually reads.

Learning lead

Your single point of contact on the fractional team. Owns priorities, quality and the relationship.

Why not just hire?

You might, eventually. Until then:

  • Three roles, not one salary.A designer, a facilitator and a platform administrator are rarely the same person. A fractional team gives you all three, sized to the work.
  • No recruiting gap.Programs funded this quarter can't wait four months for a hire. We can start within weeks.
  • Grant-friendly.Services budget as professional services, separate from the platform license, and scale with the award rather than outliving it.
  • Nothing walks out the door.Everything we build lives on your platform, editable by your staff, whether or not we stay.

How it starts

  1. Scoping call

Thirty minutes on your learners, your content and your deadline.

  2. A matched team and a fixed proposal

Named people, a timeline and a price, usually within three business days.

  3. Design workshop

We map outcomes with your experts and agree the storyboard before building.

  4. Build, run and report

You see progress weekly and get a completion and outcomes report at the end.

Questions

Can we start with a single course?

Yes. Most clients start with one Build project, then add delivery or a fractional team once they've seen how we work.

Do we have to move to your platform?

Services work best on the TechChange AI Learning Platform and Kolab, because that's where the speed comes from. During a migration our team can also work in your existing tools.

Who are the people?

TechChange staff and a vetted network of instructional designers and facilitators who have delivered programs for global health, development and public sector organizations in more than 90 countries. Specialists can join our expert network.

Can we put this in a grant proposal?

Yes. Our proposal language includes a staffing block for each package and guidance for budgeting services separately from the platform license. We'll send a costed line item on request.

What languages can your facilitators work in?

Tell us your cohort and we'll match facilitators to it. Live sessions also have multilingual captions, and every course can be translated into 12+ languages.

Tell us what you need to run

A course to rebuild, a cohort to staff, or a year of programs with no team to run them. We'll come back with named people and a price.
