Hello all, looking forward to a great session
Hullo, yes looking forward indeed
Hello all! I am on the MAMA team and will be helping to facilitate your questions and make sure our panelists see them. Please post your questions in the comments box. Thank you for joining and looking forward to a great sessions.
Hi there, I hope I didn’t get the time incorrect. Was it 10am Eastern?
Hi everyone, It hasn’t started at my end. I guess we are all waiting.
please fix the audio. there is an echo.
Is there supposed to be video as well, or just audio? Currently I only have audio.
hi everyone, has it started for anyone yet?
I only have audio as well!
Has this started? I’m just getting a sign saying starting soon.
It has started. Maybe try refreshing?
i don’t have audio even
I have audio but no video…
Unfortunately, it is next to impossible to hear the presenters—either due to delay in audio, or another problem. it sounds like the speakers are talking on top of each other.
@Rosalind, is it possible that you have it open in multiple windows? The stream should be quite clear now.
I had the same issue and when I refreshed the page everything worked.
Hey everybody – if you have audio but not video, try to go to this link instead: https://www.techchange.org/live-events/mama/early-considerations-in-m-e-for-mnch-mobile-messaging-programs/?tc=mama-m-and-e
Thanks! Unfortunately, that didn’t work for me – do you have any other suggestions?
Oh! nvmd! I think it depends on your browser – if you are viewing in Firefox you will need to switch to Chrome to get video & audio.
Will it be possible to have copies of the presentations to download after the session?
I seem to have video but no audio. I’ve tried both links and refreshing, would love to know how to fix it.
Try a different web browser – it seems to work well in Chrome.
same problem here, link gives no video either… (using Macbook)
Cecile Bruxelles – Have you filled out the registration form? If so, you should be able to see the video. Otherwise you can try the following link:
Thanks! I am okay now. Downloaded Chrome and all is working fine now! I had indeed registered but to interact i logged in by another profile.
Hi Mandy – I would also recommend you make sure that your speakers are working by playing a YouTube video. It could be that your YouTube player’s audio is muted. If not that, it is possible that your computer is not playing audio correctly either. I can confirm audio is working on Firefox and Chrome at this point.
Working fine for me in google chrome
Absolutely, Mandy! We can distribute the presentations to all attendees.
Having problems viewing this on my.mobile
Dr Emmanuel Owobu – can you try viewing directly at the following link:
For anyone having issues viewing the video on this page, you can also follow along on YouTube at the following link:
i presently have audio but no video connection; how do i get video?
@Habeeb Salami:disqus – Do you see a form to register for the event? Once you’re registered you’ll be able to see the video.
just registered now, but no video is coming; using firefox though!
I have tried refreshing the site, but audio is still unintelligible. I am hoping you will post the slide set for review since audio is not working.
Mandy – Is it possible you have multiple tabs or windows with this page open?
Sorry, Rosalind. Your name was wrong for me until I restarted! Apologies about that.
Hi. I’m Brooke with the MAMA team. We will definitely share the slides with everyone after the session. I’m sorry for the audio problems!
Difficulty for me to follow the presentation because the internet connection is slow. could I get this presentation( Power point)?
Can we have the list of messages or a link to the list of messages sent?
Question to Atik Ahsan (and others): Is there a database with the exact content of the text messages that are sent out available. I would like to get to know what content it exactly covers.
Thanks for the question, Cecile! I just passed it along to our presenters. It might be a question you ask the MAMA team directly via email due to time.
I have lost audio now. It was working fine earlier
Hi there. You can request access to the MAMA adaptable messages here: http://www.mobilemamaalliance.org/mobile-messages
I am register and I can see the presentation, can you please send me the directo link to see the presentation?
Audi has come back, thanks
Question for Radha: Do you have suggestions on designing a study with a comparison group, keeping in mind the need for a large sample size and the risk of contamination between study and control groups?
In the spectrum of MNCH area, the newborn period is perhaps most neglected and trends in decrease in mortality has been the slowest in this area. Do you think that more can be done for this in the MAMA interventions? If so what would be your priorities?
What is difference between targeted messaging and push messaging?
Nicki: Who was the MNO? And did you offer any incentives to them in exchange for the 6,000 free messages? MNOs are often wary of giving away “freebies,” since this is sometimes a common request from various projects.

Very, very interesting! I must say that the content of the presentations was a bit different from what I was expecting; however, I love how you guys embedded a feedback loop within project implementation. Typically, when I think “formative research,” I think of research conducted before a project actually takes off. This is a great approach that you guys have developed.
Thanks so much! Really appreciate your feedback about the content and structure. We are happy to chat or discuss further if you have questions or additional comments as well.
How was the categorization into 3-5 & 6-7?
Thank you, Radha! I will look into the m4RH methodology.
Thank you very much, fascinating and much food for thought.
