Process-oriented Project Managers work collaboratively with team members to support specific short-term project(s). In this role, you will oversee overall project organization including task and process delegation and execution; coordinate with any necessary contractors, team members and the client; and contribute to the project moving forward on time and on budget. You will need to be highly organized, adaptable, and able to prioritize tasks while working independently. Ultimately, Project Managers support in the creation of powerful learning experiences to achieve partner success on tight timelines, with limited resources, and in alignment with TechChange best practices.

Your Role

  • Facilitation: Thoughtfully organize the project team’s decision points for efficient weekly video call conversations with important TechChange partners;
  • Coordination: Effectively coordinate internal personnel and resources along with third parties/vendors for the flawless execution and delivery of projects;
  • Client-Focused: Demonstrate commitment to clients’ needs and confidentiality continuously; effectively manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders;
  • Collaboration: Work with internal team members and any outside consultants to contribute to the entire project lifecycle;
  • Communication: Report updates verbally and in written form to team members and appropriate supervisor; complete any necessary administrative tasks;
  • Documentation: Utilize existing project plan to track progress (make any necessary improvements or modifications); maintain comprehensive project documentation;
  • Problem Solving: Identify potential sources of project stagnation and flag to supervisors; Brainstorm and implement action plan for addressing problems; Follow up diligently to confirm problem has been resolved;
  • Success: Proactively support project moving forward on time and on budget; measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques;
  • Tracking: Appropriately track working time through a customary system.

You Have

  • 1-2 years of work experience or commensurate project management experience
  • Experience successfully planning and facilitating meetings, identifying action items necessary for project success
  • Experience working as an outside Project Management consultant or contractor to supplement internal initiatives
  • Fluency with Project Management concepts and principles
  • Comfort in managing and prioritizing multiple tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work, and achieves results with little oversight
  • Focus on results and desired outcomes and how best to achieve them
  • Solid technical background and ability to pick up new platform(s) quickly
  • Ability to effectively delegates responsibilities, tasks, and decisions; to appropriately trust others to perform; and to provide support without removing responsibility
  • Ability to integrate into new project environments and ask the right questions
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with team members
  • Ability to collaborate with team members to execute strict deadlines with limited resources in support of project(s)
  • A self-starter able to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven work environment while maintaining a high attention to detail
  • Technical Skills:
    • Fluency in Google Suite is required
    • Experience with agile methodology tools (Jira and Trello) not required, a plus
