About TechChange

TechChange is growing. We’re hiring our first director of sales and business development to expand our online event and course product lines. 

We are a ten year old social enterprise that works with the leading nonprofits and government agencies around the world to build the best virtual learning and event experiences the world has ever seen. 

From delivering of online series of courses on COVID response for frontline health workers to powering the largest human rights and tech conference in the world (RightsCon) to producing the first ever course on gender bias and data in partnership with Facebook, TechChange contributes to some of the most innovative and important (virtual) conversations of our era.  

The TechChange platform with over 500K users across some 800 courses, workshops, and events, anchors the product experience and is complemented with services like facilitation, production, and support.    

The Role

We’re looking for a leader. Someone who can refine our sales process, build an outbound strategy, and find us partners that are deeply committed to driving learning outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Expand the GTM strategy, identifying key targets, and the right mix of solutions to achieve business goals. 
  • Refine and drive our sales process and work directly with the CEO and the COO 
  • Write proposals in response to client RPFs.
  • Hire additional team members for marketing, sales support, etc to execute your vision
  • Map clients’ needs to the appropriate license and support offerings through a structured sales process
  • Identify marketing needs and resources to ensure that Tech Change platforms effectively communicate our story and differentiators that lead to  a higher conversion rate 
  • Develop strategic partnerships with funding agencies and implementing partners
  • Provide ongoing feedback to the TechChange tech team based on your interactions with customers and industry knowledge

About You:

  • 5+ years of sales experience with having hit or exceeded quota
  • Experience managing other sales, marketing, or support individuals 
  • Experience selling online events or online education products
  • Experience partnering with large corporations to build their continuous learning program
  • Experience writing and responding to RFPs, especially in the international development sector
  • Experience using software tools like LinkedIn Navigator, HubSpot, Marketo, MailChimp, etc
  • Name recognition in the industry or existing network.  
  • Background or some familiarity in global health (our largest portfolio) and government services (where we expect to grow). 
  • Experience working in remote companies. TechChange staff is mostly located in Washington DC, but many team members are remote.
