We’re seeking an enthusiastic developer that gets excited about CSS animations, the latest developments in UI/UX design, and who knows how to strike a balance between pixel perfect design and the need to get things shipped.

As a Frontend Developer, you’ll work closely with our designers to build a best-in-class community learning platform that helps communities thrive online. We’re a small, dynamic, team, so are looking for someone that can come in and take our product to the next level.

You are someone who has a strong background in web development and a passion for finding solutions to difficult problems. You could work at top tech companies, but making a difference in the world is more important to you. You’re experienced, but believe in lifelong learning. You wake up everyday excited to work with creative community of peers to build something meaningful. And you want to have a little fun along the way.

You Have

  • Deep understanding of semantic HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Passion for all things JavaScript and ES6+
  • Solid foundation in CSS frameworks
  • Experience with or desire to learn more about React, Vue, Flux, Node.js, Webpack, Babel, and other JS tools
  • Familiarity with MV* frameworks
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work towards multiple goals, problem-solve, and prioritize assignments
  • Boundless curiosity, comfort with uncertainty, and a willingness to iterate quickly

You Might Also Have

  • Proficiency in Node.js
  • Experience with GraphQL and the GraphQL ecosystem
  • Comfort with real-time technologies (WebSockets, WebRTC)
  • Experience with visualization libraries
  • Teaching or curriculum design experience
  • Knowledge of international relations, development and/or peacebuilding work at the local or international level
